The Low Down

Hola mi amigos y amigas!! Welcome to the Burrito Revolution!!

We are Gringos Burritos. But, you may ask, who are these Gringos? What's their story?

We, Mike and Mark (real gringos), were out one night with some friends. We decided to try a Mexican restaurant which was spoken of highly by some expat reviews we had read. The result was total disbelief that ANYBODY could call the food that we just had good. And it wasn't cheap either. We were bemoaning the fact that good Mexican food was such a rarity in our home away from home when we decided that by God, if you want something done right, you just have to do it yourself! That night Gringos was born. We would make awesome burritos for the hungry expat community! We would make them reasonably priced! We would use technology to keep in touch with our Gringophiles (those who love Gringos burritos) so we can provide the utmost in customer care! And we would freeze them so they could easily be heated and eaten at our places of work instead of the swill usually provided by our employers. (This last bit is due to my assumption that most of you, like us, are teachers in the hagwon system. Forgive me if I am wrong, but you still need burritos for lunch. Don't deny it - you know you do.)

We decided that our philosophy would be to create every component of our burritos a) entirely from scratch, b) using only the freshest ingredients and c) to be delicious even on its own...

We started with the beans. After getting ahold of some real, honest to God pinto beans we created a recipe which made, in our minds, refried beans that were to die for. In fact, these very beans can be had by the pint in our delicious Bean n' Cheese Dip.

Next came the chicken. Many days of cooking, tasting and refining our recipe over and over followed. The result is what many expats are referring to as "perfection".

Our own recipe for spanish rice adds texture and further flavor while shredded cheddar gives the right amount of cheesy smoothness.

We add our homemade salsa to just about everything to give it just the right amount of 'Zing'. Making the salsa was actually the easy part as Mike had been making the tastiest salsa you could ever want for years. The freshest vegetables, spices and TLC were already there just waiting to be unleashed on an unsuspecting burrito or tortilla chip!

While our chicken burritos and veggie burritos are muy delicioso, our breakfast burritos are awesome too. Their taste is reminiscent of the famous taco trucks of Los Angeles. You can't get more authentic than that! They are guaranteed to start your day out right!

All-in-all guys, we're just like you. We all need a little comfort food sometimes. A little taste of home so we don't go completely nuts. We decided to do something about it. We decided to spread the joy. We'd appreciate it if you'd drop us a line on Facebook (search Gringos korea) and give us your honest feedback. I promise we'll respond back. And, if you love Gringos like we think you will, it would be really great if you could help us grow by telling a friend or two about us. We'd appreciate it mucho.

Thanks. The Gringos guys.

 VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!!

P.S. If you need us to customize an order....let us know what you need and we'll do our best to satisfy. But... WE WILL NOT PUT KIMCHI OR GOCHU-JIANG ON OUR BURRITOS!!!! So don't ask.
